Jim Kirker wrote Ecommerce/Shopping Cart Programs for 5 years starting in 2001. 

During the 5 years, many exclusive features were designed into the programs that included being able to start the checkout process, and then go back and add items without having to start all over again.

Many other programs were written as well such as the Photo Gallery Program, that allows Site Owners to either display thousands of image files, and sell them as well, and tracking programs that tracked all of the Site Hits, and display the statistics in graph format.

But during the 5 years, he realized that thousands of programmers were focusing on the customer side (Front End), without any method for the customer to be able to add products, change product images and change prices. Maintaining Customer Databases became a chore, even though we were charging for it.  There had to be an easier way to do this.

So Jim Kirker started writng programs that managed all of the information and made it web based at first.  Customers were blown away when they saw this, and thought the idea was huge. They can log in to there Site Adminitrator, and change almost any aspect or feature of the program with the click of a mouse.

Internet Commerce Engine 5 has matured very much and is now a complete robust web based application, that is close to feeling like a true Windows Program. All of the programs in the Site Administrator (Back of the House) are designed like Aloha's and HSI's POS Systems for the Hospitality Industry, and use the same programming concepts and layouts
